Wilfa Enters the US With Seven Kitchen Appliances as Xreal Upgrades Its Premium Display Glasses

Two consumer brands are making US launches on October 15, 2026, targeting very different parts of the home: Norwegian appliance maker Wilfa is introducing a seven-product kitchen lineup, while Xreal is updating its high-end plug-in display glasses with a brighter screen and additional visual modes.

Wilfa’s new appliances have not yet been tested, and Xreal’s One Pro Plus refines an existing product rather than changing how display glasses work.

Wilfa’s US launch includes seven kitchen appliances

Wilfa is entering the US market with products for baking, blending, and coffee preparation. The lineup includes:

  • The Probaker NXT stand mixer
  • The Powerfuel XL Blender
  • The Prostick immersion blender
  • Three drip coffee makers
  • One electric coffee grinder

The products share Wilfa’s minimalist Scandinavian design language. Their performance will need to be assessed once the new lineup is available for testing.

Probaker NXT targets the premium stand-mixer market

The Probaker NXT is the most expensive product in the launch, priced at $999. It has:

  • A 7.4-quart stainless-steel bowl
  • 20 speed settings
  • A design similar to high-end spiral mixers

The mixer invites comparison with the Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer, which previously received high marks and has a similar design and feature set. A side-by-side comparison could show how the two perform in everyday baking.

At $999, the Probaker NXT sits firmly in the premium category. Its value will depend on how well its specifications translate into real-world performance.

Powerfuel XL and Prostick expand Wilfa’s blending range

The Powerfuel XL Blender is a heavy-duty blender with:

  • A 67-ounce Tritan plastic jug
  • A digital-knob control system
  • Presets for soup, ice crushing, and smoothies
  • An included tamper

The Prostick is Wilfa’s immersion blender and comes with multiple attachments. It is the final blending product in the new lineup.

Coffee is a significant part of the launch

Wilfa is also introducing three drip coffee makers and an electric coffee grinder. The models share similar designs but are expected to differ in their features.

Some coffee enthusiasts may already know Wilfa from earlier versions of the brand’s Performance coffee maker and Uniform grinder. Both were reviewed in 2023 when they were available through a partnership with Lardera Coffee.

The new coffee makers will be evaluated to see whether one or more can earn a place on a best coffee makers list. The new grinder will also need to be assessed before its performance can be compared with established options.

Xreal One Pro Plus raises brightness to 1,200 nits

Xreal’s One Pro Plus display glasses are available for $599. Their most significant specification change is brightness: the new model is rated at 1,200 nits, compared with 700 nits for the previous Xreal One display glasses.

That increase addresses a weakness of the earlier model. The hands-on experience is broadly similar to its predecessor, but the new glasses are brighter.

The glasses also add several visual settings, including a Reading mode that appears to position the virtual display closer to the wearer. They remain plug-in displays that require a USB-C connection to a compatible laptop, phone, or game console.

Feature Xreal One Pro Plus Previous Xreal One
Brightness 1,200 nits 700 nits
Connection USB-C tethered USB-C tethered
Display positioning Adjustable size and perceived distance Adjustable size and perceived distance
Display anchoring Onboard chip can pin displays in place as the wearer turns Same capability
3D conversion Smoother AI conversion mode Earlier version of the feature
Price provided in source $599 Not specified

The glasses use half-mirror lenses to project the display into the wearer’s field of view. They resemble unusual sunglasses and still require a cable. They pack into an included case.

The new 3D mode remains more novelty than essential feature

The One Pro Plus adds a smoother AI-powered 3D conversion mode that can process 2D images, video, or connected games. However, the hands-on assessment found the conversion imperfect and somewhat gimmicky. It also reduced frame rate enough that leaving the feature off could be preferable.

The brightness improvement may be more useful to buyers than the updated 3D mode. The glasses otherwise retain the core design and features of the previous model.

What each launch means for buyers

If you are considering a Wilfa appliance

The new US lineup may appeal to shoppers interested in minimalist design and premium kitchen equipment. The Probaker NXT is the headline product because of its $999 price, while the Powerfuel XL, Prostick, coffee makers, and grinder broaden the launch.

The new appliances have not yet been tested, so their performance remains to be established.

If you are considering the Xreal One Pro Plus

The One Pro Plus is an improved version of an existing pair of display glasses. The brightness increase is meaningful on paper, but the core limitations remain:

  • It must be connected by USB-C
  • It still looks and behaves more like a wearable monitor than ordinary eyewear
  • The 3D conversion mode may compromise frame rate
  • The design is not substantially more portable or conventional than before

For an existing One Pro owner who is satisfied with the form factor, the brighter display may be the main reason to upgrade. For newcomers, the decision depends on whether wearing a tethered virtual monitor is practical for the intended use.

Early verdict

Wilfa’s US arrival includes seven appliances spanning baking, blending, and coffee. The Probaker NXT is the headline product because of its $999 price and large bowl, but the coffee makers and grinder may also attract attention once they have been tested.

Xreal’s One Pro Plus is a more incremental update. Its jump from 700 to 1,200 nits addresses a weakness in the earlier model, while the additional visual modes add flexibility. The glasses still require a USB-C connection, and the upgraded 3D feature does not eliminate the compromises of converted 3D content.
